Offering comfort and hope in the Ronald McDonald House Family Room

Carrington’s world was shattered when her six-week-old baby, Nakoah, was diagnosed with complicated meningitis, spending more than four weeks in hospital for treatment.

Wanting to keep as close to Nakoah as she could, Carrington leant on our Ronald McDonald House Family Room Gosford Hospital for refuge and reprieve.

“We have used the Ronald McDonald House Family Room every day! It’s given us a safe place to be together, close to Nakoah.”

“We’ve been able to use the washing machines, enjoy meals together and spend time as a family in the play space – easing so many of the pressures and burdens that come with having a sick baby.

“Thank you for giving our family, and other families like ours, hope and peace of mind during such a difficult time. Your generosity has meant we can focus on what’s important – being together and close to our baby.”
