Visiting Ronald McDonald Family Room

The Family Room is located within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on Level 3 of the John Hunter Children’s Hospital.

For the comfort of our families, we have a cosy lounge area, a quiet room for rest and relaxation, as well as space for the kids to play. By giving your kids some much needed space to play, we’re making the time your family spends in hospital just that little bit easier.

We want to make sure parents of newborn babies needing extra care have a ‘home away from home’ inside the hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward. That’s why our Family Room is free and open to all families who have an infant receiving care in the NICU at John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
