Tamworth House provides New England North West families experiencing; a high risk pregnancy, a new baby, a sick or an injured child with a comfortable place to stay and peace of mind knowing they can be together and close to their baby or child at Tamworth Hospital.

Over 200 families a year stay with us here in Tamworth. Our comfortable family bedrooms provide a welcoming, calming and warm environment to families when they need it most, while the rest of our House provides space for families to be together. We provide services that remove barriers and strengthen families.

Needing to spend time away from home with a new baby, a sick or an injured child, sometimes at a moments notice, can be stressful and leave families under prepared. At our Tamworth House, we try to provide as much as possible to help relieve the financial and emotional burden of being away from family, friends and home.

Staying at Ronald McDonald House Tamworth

Families staying at Ronald McDonald House Tamworth have access to a range of facilities and programs to help make each day a little easier, including a family size bedroom with ensuite. Other facilities include a living room, outdoor playground and BBQ, laundry, and fully-equipped kitchen.

The average stay for families is up to six days, but we are able to welcome families for as long as they need to be close to Tamworth Hospital. This includes Mums experiencing a high risk pregnancy or a child recovering from an ENT surgery.
