A haven of care in the Family Room

Jack and Georgi are loving parents to 11-month-old Sully and spirited 3-year-old Mack. When Sully fell ill and landed in Gosford Hospital, hours in the emergency department took its toll. In their time of need, they discovered the Family Room, a place of solace and support.

After a restless night in the emergency department, Georgi longed for a moment to refresh. The Family Room’s soft towels and soothing shower offered her respite, and a hot cuppa helped lift her spirits while Jack tended to Mack’s eagerness to see his mum and bring much needed supplies.

In this space, both parents found respite and understanding. The Family Room’s caring volunteers, with their warm smiles and kind hearts, offered comfort beyond measure. Amidst worries, they found a haven where compassion stitched them closer, making a challenging time a bit easier to bear.

Grateful, Jack and Georgi shared, “the support we received from the moment we walked in was priceless. From the shower to the games and toys to entertain our toddler and caring volunteers, we can’t thank you enough.” In the midst of adversity, they found a haven of light, proving that love and kindness can shine through even the toughest of times.
