Keeping families together for over 30 years

We first opened the doors of Ronald McDonald House Newcastle in 1991.

Since then we’ve continued to expand our services for families with seriously ill or injured kids; operating another Ronald McDonald House in Tamworth, two Family Rooms in John Hunter Children’s Hospital and one Family Room in Gosford Hospital, as well as a Family Retreat in Forster.

Our Ronald McDonald Learning Program also supports sick kids and their siblings, equipping them with the tools to catch-up on any education they have missed due to illness.

For more than 30 years, we’ve supported hundreds-of-thousands of families in need through our accommodation and support services – striving to keep families together when their life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness.

Our Programs are run by our dedicated team of staff and volunteers, aided by the generous support of our donors, sponsors and corporate partners
