Volunteers are the heart of Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW, they make what we do possible. Whether they’re providing a helping hand at our Ronald McDonald House, lending an ear to a parent in our Family Room, keeping our Family Retreat spick and span, or manning stalls at our community events – we couldn’t achieve what we do without the invaluable help and contribution of our volunteers.
Different ways to volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of Ronald McDonald House, helping to provide families with sick or injured children an oasis of comfort in a sea of chaos. Volunteer’s provide a helping hand to assist us with everyday tasks around the House, 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. Shifts are available 8am – 11am, 11am – 2pm, 2pm – 6pm and overnight (6pm – 8am) weekdays and weekends.
Volunteers are the welcoming face in the Ronald McDonald Family Room. Whether it’s making a cuppa, lending an ear, or making sure the Family Room is a clean, comfortable and welcoming space – none of this is possible without the assistance of volunteers. With the Family Room open 7 Days a week, shifts are available 8am – 11am, 11am – 2pm, 2pm – 6pm and 6pm – 9pm weekdays and until 6pm weekends.
Volunteers help keep the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat looking spick an span, in the garden, doing odd jobs and helping out with other activities. Volunteer opportunities are organised with our Family Retreat Coordinator.
Community Volunteers work with our team in the community, either at fundraising events manning stalls or selling raffle tickets, to visiting local business who support Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW collecting money boxes.
