Alicia Payne is a dedicated mum and local business owner with her own connection to RMHC Northern NSW – offering inspiring insight on balancing a seriously ill child and small business.
When her son, Bronson, was diagnosed with Leukemia, Alicia and family relied on our Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle to keep them together while Bronson sought vital medical treatment. The family have also enjoyed a stay at our Family Retreat in Forster – taking the time to reconnect after Bronson’s hospital stays.
“Ronald McDonald House is so familiar to us now – it takes the stress out of finding somewhere to stay, when we need to visit hospital so often and so far from home. We are grateful to Family Retreat, for giving our family time together after spending so much time apart. We really needed it.”
