Excelling with the help of the Learning Program

Troy watched his daughter Zaylee, a high-risk stage 4 neuroblastoma survivor, thrive over the past two terms of school, thanks to the tutoring she received from the RMHC Learning Program.

When Zaylee fell behind in her studies while fighting cancer, Troy reached out to the Learning Program in desperation. In response, Zaylee was provided with a dedicated tutor named Rhonda, who worked with her at school.

Since starting her tutoring sessions, Zaylee’s performance has improved significantly. Her test scores, which were initially around 30%, had risen to an impressive 70%.

“We are so profoundly grateful for the support the Learning Program has provided.  Words cannot fully express our gratitude we have for providing tutoring for Zaylee,” shared the family.

Thanks to you, sick kids and their siblings can access the support of the Learning Program to improve their academic progress and overall well-being

Teach with us!

The Ronald McDonald Learning Program gives teachers a chance to help seriously ill kids catch up on their missed education. Teachers are contracted on an hourly basis to tutor students recovering from illness at the student’s school or local community facility. Each student receives up to 40 hours of tuition.

We’re on the lookout for tutors across the Central Coast, Hunter, Mid North Coast, North Coast, New England and North West regions. You can help seriously ill or injured kids catch-up on their missed education and stay ahead.
