The families of children, from birth through 18 years of age, who have to travel away from their homes for their child to receive treatment at John Hunter Children’s Hospital, are eligible.

We try to accommodate the needs of families where we can, but this is always subject to availability. Priority is given to families whose children have been recently diagnosed, have a serious or life threatening illness, are seriously injured or who require emergency treatment, as well as families of premature babies.

Family stays together and we stay with them – when it matters most.
