Our Ronald McDonald Family Retreat in Forster offers a welcomed sanctuary for families with sick or injured kids to reconnect, relax and enjoy time together – an experience most of us often take for granted.
A family that has a child with a medical condition or illness that requires or has required ongoing medical treatment may be eligible. Eligible families can enjoy up to one week of free accommodation at the Family Retreat.
It’s an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy time together in each other’s company, an important part of the healing process as well as family-centred care.
We also can offer a stay to families who are grieving a recent loss of a child. For more information please contact us.

Enjoy a much needed break away with your family in one of our four deluxe two-bedroom cabins (two with wheel-chair access), located in beautiful Forster.
Overlooking the calm waters of Wallis Lake, it is welcoming space for families to relax, reconnect, recharge and spend precious time together.
Families can enjoy sitting on the decks and watching the boats and dolphins in Wallis lake or enjoy a short five minute stroll for shopping and eateries in Wharf St. Within 2-10 mins drive of the Family Retreat grounds, families will find multiple local beaches, parks and larger shopping centre, ‘Stockland’.
